～素足で歩けるくらいにビーチを綺麗にして、海を愛する気持ちを育もう～

イベントの趣旨
一般社団法人Mfiseaは、2024年4月21日（日）に的ヶ浜海岸（スパビーチ）で「国際交流サステイナビリティ体験」を開催します。本イベントは、「異文化交流とサステイナビリティの体験」をテーマに、留学生と共に子供たちが海岸の清掃活動を行います。海岸を歩くと、様々な種類の漂着ごみが目に入ります。漁業で必要な用具の破片や、生活ごみとしてのペットボトルなど、私たちの生活がどのように自然環境に影響を与えているかを実感することができます。私たちは、多くの恩恵を受けている地域の海を綺麗にし、子供たちが思いっきり走り回り楽しめるビーチを目指します。また、海洋ごみ拾いを通じて、現在世界の海が直面している問題について認識を深める機会を提供します。
Mfisea（エムフィッシャー）は「豊かな海を未来に」という理念のもと、2016年から大分県を主な拠点として海洋問題についての学びを推進しています。1回の清掃活動ですべての海洋ごみをなくすことはできませんが、楽しみながら海の問題について学ぶことで、海を大切にする気持ちを育てていきたいと考えています。

自由参加となります。当日、自由に参加ください。尚、お手伝いいただける方は事前にご連絡くださいませ。

Concept of the Event
The nonprofit organization Mfisea will host an “International Exchange Sustainability Experience” on April 21, 2024, at Matikahama Beach (Spa Beach). This event, themed around “Cultural Exchange and Sustainability Experiences,” involves international students and children working together to clean the beach. As you walk along the shore, you can see various types of marine debris. From remnants of fishing equipment needed for aquaculture and fishing to everyday waste like plastic bottles, it becomes apparent how our lives are intricately linked to the natural environment. We aim to clean the beaches enriched by our local seas, creating a space where children can freely run and have fun. Furthermore, by picking up marine litter, we provide an opportunity to deepen understanding of the problems facing the world’s oceans today.
Mfisea (pronounced “Emfisher”) has been promoting learning about marine issues since 2016, based primarily in Oita Prefecture, with the philosophy of “Ensuring a Rich Sea for the Future.” While a single clean-up cannot eliminate all marine debris, by engaging with and learning about ocean issues in an enjoyable way, we hope to cultivate a greater appreciation for the sea.
